Night out

Last night (Saturday) I met up with some friends from college and we went for a meal in Basildon.  We have been to this restaurant before and I don’t particularly like it but it was ok.  The only problem was it was so noisy you couldn’t have a conversation, which was a shame because that’s what we had all gone for to catch up with what everyone has been doing over the last few months.

When I went home I had to cross a road to go back to my car and it was terrifying, a car with 3 or 4 men in kept driving past and shouting something at me.  After doing this a few times it stopped a few yards from me but fortunately there were lots of police around and there had been an incident on the other side of the road and the police were running down the road.  So the car on my side of the road roared off.  When I got to my car I locked the doors and started driving home……..it was like being on a race course.  People were trying to overtake, or trying to race me, I wasn’t having any of it just wanted to get home.  But one car was so eager to overtake it nearly forced me off the road and when the car finally passed me it was a girl!!! She was so aggressive.

I was glad to get home in one piece.

That's really scary. Isn't ridiculous that you have to be so cautious when you just want to go out for dinner one night?
